Class Nine & Ten

Cleaning up

I was really dismayed at the state at least two students left their areas in: materials were all over the floor, crushed underfoot and left for me to clean. I am not your mother and if you continue to disrespect materials and space in this class, I will start taking points off your grade.

Quality of Effort

I got a few great submissions for Knowing Brooklyn, but I also got more submissions that were alarmingly poor in quality. If you have any ambition to make above a C, you absolutely must put your best effort towards  every assignment. Now that we have had some time to build skills, the rest of the semester will be vigorous. Keep up or fall behind–it is up to you.

Ink: Rendering

We will work on drawing with ink in full today. It will be messy.

Comics: Preparation

In the next class, I will be asking you to combine perspective, simple rendering, and narrative. This is hard, and you need to put effort into this. I want you to create a story using simple objects that you will draw in various views.
