Monday & Tuesday, Class 12

Tuesday: Class is online today, please Skype with me 12-2pm. My handle is monstressme. I am sorry if you came to class, I emailed the group twice to let you know.

Start your alternative designs – I want you to work out the entire homepage for this, but see how far you get.

Work Day:

Let’s get the screens refined as much as possible. I want to talk to each of you, get the full transactions worked out and the secondary version ready to be finished. If you have time, flesh the sites/apps out more!

Homework:

Have all of your materials ready to be put in a slide show. You may refine things afterwards, but have your screens ready, your sketches, the IA docs… We will look at ways of putting them all together next week and look at some coding to wrap it all in a tidy package.

  • Continue refining your pages: finish wireframes, get the pages fleshed out. Start really honing in on details and finding solutions to the smaller details.
  • Refined sketches of all major interior pages, I will try to meet with you, on a timer this time!
  • Typography fleshed out and applied

Plan for the day: Critique of the pages you have thus far:

  • The goal for all of this is to give you what you need to move forward.
  • Give useful, constructive commentary. Remember, this is not about you liking what you see but figuring out if the designer is making something for the purpose, audience,a nd goal she has set for herself.
